Welcome Authors -- We're Now Accepting Electronic Submissions

We're anxious to hear from new authors and to review your manuscripts. Our submission process is organized to permit us to track submissions and to provide submitting authors with online status information about our review. Although we now accept electronic and paper submissions, all authors must register here and include the registration number on the submission.

Iota is a traditional publisher (we do not use POD technology). We pay a standard advance to authors of accepted manuscripts. Royalties are paid on sales. Accepted manuscripts are professionally edited, typeset, and printed in the format and quantity that we feel will be most marketable.

General submission guidelines are:

  • You must first register on this website. Click here. After you register, login and register your manuscript. This enables us to track your manuscript.
  • We accept electronic submissions only, preferable in Microsoft Word format.
  • Do not send any art work, illustrations, photos, or any type of graphical material.
  • Manuscripts are not returned.
  • Our full submission guidelines are here.

Check our web site frequently for status on your manuscript submission. Virtually all of our communications are via email. If you have a SPAM filter, please make necessary adjustments to allow our emails to reach you. We do not respond to spam filter forms or other emails requiring us to take action to reach you.

Additional information -- you may check your manuscript submission status on our website by logging in, then following the steps to check your manuscript status. The Status field for your manuscript has the following definitions:

1 - initial value for newly created record (manuscipt registered - automated email generated)
2 - contest payment received (where applicable)
3 - electronic/manual submission of manuscript received
4 - acknowledgment sent to author (via email only)
5 - reader assigned
6 to 15 - internal codes for tracking manuscipt process
14/15 - indicates that review is complete
Note: only the author can see the status of his/her own manuscript on the Iota web site.
